Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 9, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Content Management Bridge handles information when you use the Content Management Bridge desktop application and website. Content Management Bridge is built for user-directed content transfers between configured repositories, including OpenText Content Server, SharePoint, and Windows Filesystem. ServiceNow and additional filesystem connectors may be added as the product evolves.

Information We Process

Depending on how you configure the app, Content Management Bridge may process connection settings, repository URLs, SharePoint site or drive identifiers, Windows file paths, node or folder identifiers, filenames, file metadata, transfer logs, authentication status, and content selected for transfer. If Microsoft Entra ID authentication is used, Microsoft may provide identity information such as your name, username, email address, tenant identifier, and access tokens needed to complete authorized operations.

How Information Is Used

Information is used to authenticate you, connect to configured systems, browse repositories, transfer selected content, preserve supported metadata, apply configured permissions, show progress, and generate transfer reports. The app does not use repository content for advertising, profiling, or unrelated analytics.

Microsoft Entra ID and Tokens

When you sign in with Microsoft Entra ID, authentication is handled through Microsoft identity services. Access tokens are used to call Microsoft APIs or other tenant-approved resources according to the permissions granted by the user or tenant administrator. Tokens and credentials should be stored locally using operating-system credential storage where supported, and they are not sold or shared for marketing purposes.

Content Transfers

Content Management Bridge processes files and metadata only for transfers that you or your organization configure. The app may read from a source repository and write to a destination repository as directed by the transfer workflow. Your organization remains responsible for ensuring that selected transfers comply with its retention, security, privacy, and access-control requirements.

Website Data

The public website may receive standard hosting logs such as IP address, browser user agent, requested pages, referring page, and timestamps. These logs are used for security, troubleshooting, and basic operational monitoring.

Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Information may be shared only when needed to provide the app, comply with law, protect rights and security, or communicate with systems that you or your organization configure as part of a transfer.

Data Retention

Local connection settings, reports, and logs may remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app. Repository content remains in the source or destination systems selected by you or your organization and is governed by those systems' retention policies.

Security

Content Management Bridge is designed for controlled desktop use and tenant-managed authentication. You should protect your device, keep the app updated, grant only required permissions, and review transfer scopes before running bulk operations.

Your Choices

You can choose which connections to add, which repositories to browse, which files to transfer, and whether to revoke Microsoft app consent through your Microsoft account or tenant administration tools. You may also delete local settings and generated reports from your device.
